Why can’t I comment?

July 29, 2006

I started this blog as an online memoir to record my experiences in Sudan for the three years I was to study medicine there. During my stay in Sudan, I’ve taken out comments as I saw no reason for anyone to comment on my personal experiences there…some posts which would have sparked anger (as I’ve seen from a few cases of hate mail) due to the truth depicted in them which otherwise would have gone unheard of. Now that my stay in Sudan is over, I’ve decided to start blogging about other issues which may be of interest to me.

I’ve allowed commenting now but there might be a couple of reasons why you can’t comment:

You might have used certain words in certain languages which might not have appealed to the filter.

Or…your IP/email address was in the blacklist; go figure.

Or…a simple WordPress/server glitch. That happens once a while…try commenting again.

If, however, you believe your comment was wrongly sent to the spam dungeon, don’t hesitate to contact me so I can retrieve it from the spam list before it’s too late and gets lost in the tens of thousands of spam comments rotting down there.
